Meet the Keys Diver Staff and Crew

We're here to make sure you have the best, and safest trip possible.
We help make memories!

Captain Rob

Rob isn’t just the owner of our shop. He is a captain, Scuba instructor, and sat on the National Sanctuary Advisory Board and the District Advisory Committee boards for over 7 years. He oversees every aspect of this business and takes a very deep interest in how Keys Diver can support the reef we use every day.

Lynn loves to dive, and you’ll recognize her underwater because we’re pretty sure she’s the only one in Key Largo who is decked out in a pink tank and mask. She is the brains of the outfit, working the numbers and making sure things run smoothly. Among the crew, she’s known as “Mama Bear.”

Your Name Here!

This could be you! Keys Diver is always interested in talking to you about your future. Divemasters, Instructors Captains and front desk help. It could be time for you to join the Keys Diver team. Contact the store and send us a resume.

Carol has been with the Keys Diver team for 6 years and is all things Keys Diver Shop. She is the one who can give you the best recommendations for your snorkel or dive trips, help answer any questions you may have, and offer suggestions for other things to do. She knows Key Largo like the back of her hand, and loves to share that knowledge.

Tim has been with the Keys Diver team for over 9 years – and our visitors ALWAYS remember him thanks to his visor, long hair and funky colored flip flops. Snorkelers are his favorite kind of people, and he loves to show everyone how to really kick off their shoes and enjoy the island way. A fish expert and true Snorkologist!

Captain Tracy

Keys Diver welcomes Tracy to the team! She is both PADI Divemaster and Open Water Instructor and one of our Captains. She has logged thousands of dives, on both open air circuit, sidemount and rebreather. Tracy is the one to talk to about diving, or even a career in diving.

Tom and Tracy started diving in the Keys eight years ago as a “summer fling”—but their love for diving exploded in a total love affair that has taken them all over the Caribbean. Still, Key Largo is their first love, and they come back every summer to play with us! Tom is a PADI OWSI. He loves seeing the excitement on the faces of newly certified divers.

Captain John

Captain John joined the Keys Diver team this year and has been a great asset. He knows the reefs and the best spots to to take you and always considers wind and sea conditions. He'll see that you are safe, and your trip is memorable and fun thanks to his many years running boats on our Key Largo waters.

The Girls

OK, so they don't teach, or run the boats, but they're the Keys Diver girls, KD (two guesses how she got her name) and Penny.

Nate joined us this year and is a PADI Divemaster and Scuba Instructor. He works both the dive and snorkel boat and is your go-to man for information on the reefs, sealife and diving.

Ed is a PADI Divemaster as well as Instructor. He's our fill-in Instructor and DM and you can find him on both Keys Diver Boats. Ask him about our reefs and fish. He's the man with the knowledge to show you a great time. Ed has years of diving and sailing experience to draw on.

Keys Diver Snorkel Boat

Keys Diver I is a USCG certified 'snorkel only' boat with a maximum of 40 snorkelers allowed. Your boat is Captained by a USCG licensed Captain with a PADI or NAUI trained Divemaster/Rescue Diver on board. She isn't the fastest on the sea, but you are here to enjoy an afternoon on the water. we often see turtles, dolphins and rays as we make our way to the reef. You won't see that on a 'go fast boat.' Each boat has all Coast Guard required safety equipment, plus first aid kit, oxygen and AED. Our crew are highly trained and come with years of boating and safety experience.

Keys Diver II

Keys Diver II is our USCG certified boat that will carry both snorkelers and divers. She is 40 feet in length and can take up to 25 passengers. Like the snorkel boat, Keys Diver II has full safety equipment, oxygen, first aid kit and AED onboard. This boat may be reserved as a combination of snorkel and dive, or as snorkel or dive only. Snorkel gear is included in charter rates. Dive gear is an extra expense, and depends on just what is required. Coast Guard certified Captain and Divemaster/Instructor aboard.

Keys Diver Store

Look for the famous 12 ft tall snorkel on our roof! The Keys Diver store and gift shop is the place to check in, pick up your underwater camera or maybe some fins and a new mask. We're right on the corner at Mile Marker 99.6, next to the Wendy's and across from the Holiday Inn.

We have a great selection of nautical gifts, Island Jewlery, towels and snorkel/dive gear. We can also help you with suggestions on where to eat, stay and play. Make sure you call for reservations for your trip. We can fill up quickly and you don't want to be left onshore!
