Keys Diver Group Snorkel and Diving

Snorkel Groups

Keys Diver has two boats to help with your group trips. Keys Diver I is a USCG certified 'snorkel only' boat with a maximum of 40 snorkelers allowed. Your boat is Captained by a USCG licensed Captain with a PADI or NAUI trained Divemaster/Rescue Diver on board. Keys Diver II is a 40' USCG boat, as well, and carries up to 25 and can be a combination of snorklers and divers. Each boat has all Coast Guard required safety equipment, plus first aid kit, oxygen and AED. Our crew are highly trained and come with years of boating and safety experience.

We can custom tailor your snorkel trip to meet your needs, and time frame. Our typical snorkel tours are one hour of snorkeling, if a morning tour is booked, and two hours, three reef locations, if booked for the afternoon tour.

Morning departures leave the dock at 9am and return at approximately 11:30am.

Afternoon departures leave the dock at 12:15am and return at approximately 4:30pm.

For a description of the reefs that we visit, click on the 'Reef' link. All snorkel prices include mask, fins, snorkel, snorkel vest and instruction. Group prices vary, depending on times and number of reefs visited. We can even arrange for box lunches to be included for your guests.

Dive Groups

Keys Diver II is our USCG certified boat that will carry both snorkelers and divers. She is 40 feet in length and can take up to 25 passengers. Like the snorkel boat, Keys Diver II has full safety equipment, oxygen, first aid kit and AED onboard.

This boat may be reserved as a combination of snorkel and dive, or as snorkel or dive only. Snorkel gear is included in charter rates. Dive gear is an extra expense, and depends on just what is required.

Morning 2 location, two tank dive trips depart our Pilot House Marina docks at 8am and return around 12 noon. Afternoon dive trips, depart at 1pm and return around 5pm

You might also be interested in putting a group together to take part in our Coral Restoration (CRF) dive trips. This is an all day trip and usually starts with a morning class at the CRF headquarters, located right next to our dive boat. Here you will learn about restoration and the transplanting process. That afternoon you will dive the coral nursery, harvest corals and transplant them to our reefs. Call for more details.

As with all charters, prices depend on locations, number of dives or snorkel spots you wish to see, and dive equipment needed. Please fill out a request form to get things started!

Choice of Locations

All our reefs are in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, and located approximately 5 miles offshore. We cannot always guarantee that we will be able to take you to the reef of your choice. Winds, current and sea conditions may dictate a last minute change in location. Our main concern is your safety, followed by showing you the best time and reefs possible. An example would be the Christ of the Abyss Statue. A popular destination with both snorkelrs and divers, the Statue is located on the outside, or ocean side of the reefs. Prevailing easterly winds can make this location extremly rough in high winds.
