CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) and KEYS DIVER

UPDATE - March 20th, 2020

Hello Keys Diver friends and family,

As you all are aware, we are in unprecedented time with the COVID-19 virus and the impact it’s having on our community, country and the world. We know all of you are experiencing the same impact in your local communities as well. During this time, we want our guests, crew and their families to focus on being safe and healthy.

Keys Diver is temporarily closing the shop and no longer running trips starting today. We have shut down bookings for the next 2 weeks, but may need to extend as necessary. We are providing full refunds for any guests that have booked during that time. If you need to reach the shop, the best way to contact us is through email at info@keysdiver.com. If you would like to plan a trip for the future (which might give you something to look forward to during these tough times!) you can always research and book a reservation here on our website. We will provide updates on both Facebook and to this page.

We hope everyone stays safe and well during this time and focuses on taking care of each other. Family and friends are the most important thing right now, and the ocean will be there to explore when this is done. 🐠🐙🦐🦀🐬

Keys Diver has always been committed to industry-leading safety standards and that extends to addressing the current Coronavirus situation. Below, please find an FAQ related to COVID-19 and check here frequently for updates.

Is Keys Diver still running snorkel trips to the reef?
Yes, we are currently running snorkel trips daily. We are monitoring government announcements and local conditions as updates occur to make decisions on continuing to run trips. Click here for our new guidelines.

What has Keys Diver done differently in light of COVID-19?
Keys Diver has always sterilized our equipment with a sanitizing solution, Sani-Q™: this is a concentrated quaternary sanitizer and disinfectant used in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, restaurants, medical offices, etc. We also have hand sanitizer and disinfectant for our guests and crew at our shop and on the boats.

In addition, in line with recent Florida restaurant guidelines, we have decreased our boat capacity to 50% of max capacity to allow our guests space on our boats. Six foot spacing should be maintained between guest groups and groups should be 10 people or less.

What is your rebooking and cancellation policy?
We understand in these uncertain times that your vacation plans may change, and If you would like to rebook any trips, please call the shop and we will do our very best to accomodate your schedule based on availability. You can book for any future date and we have no rules on how many times your can rebook. We'd love you have you visit us in the future!

Our cancellation policy has always been 24 hours in advance. We provide a full refund as long as cancellation is made 24 hours in advance. This is also at our staff's discretion and if a member of your party is not feeling well, we can make exceptions. If we need to cancel a trip for any reason, a full refund will always be provided.

Should I visit the Florida Keys now?
We love our guests and want everyone to be safe and comfortable. We recommend staying up-to-date on all CDC recommendations as well as local, state, and federal guidelines. Please make decisions that you and your family are comfortable with as you consider traveling.
